A personal update

I missed my post last week. It isn't because I don't love my loyal mystery readers. I am settling into a new job at Telltale Games. I mentioned them a couple weeks ago in my article "Wallmart is Not the Center of the Gaming Universe". Telltale is a group of nifty guys (and now one girl) who are working on some really fun stuff. I can't talk about what any of it is, of course. But it is really exciting to be working with a group of folks who love games and want to make games that are exploring new territory, even if it is in a well-loved genre. I am also working on some other fun projects. E.T. of course, and a colleague of mine from Tech and I are working on a paper submission for DiGRA. I have also assembled a group of friends to meet once a week and work on developing a game together. No decision has been made on what it will be or even what platform, but it should be fun. I have finished Beyond Good and Evil (expect a review soon), am still wrestling with Goblin Commander (though I think I am on the last level), and have been playing alot of Fable. I have lots of thoughts on Fable which you can be sure will be shared soon. I have alot of games in the queue: Culdcept, Dark Cloud, and Katamari Damacy (that yummy ball-rolling game from Japan). And that is my life in games these days. Pretty exciting stuff. For me anyway. Don't worry. I'll have a new article again next week. :)
